Flying Shear or TMT Shearing Machine

Functional Description of Flying Shear 

The shear will be located after the finishing mill and before the cooling bed.

One (1). encoder will be installed at the motor/pinion stand of the finishing stand.

The mill operator will decide the length of the BAR be cut, the exact roll dressed

and will feed the data to the MMI (Man Machine Interface). 

Cold Shearing Machine or Cooling Bed Shearing Machine

Rotary Shearing Machine (Fixed Type & Swivel Type)

Hot cut Front /Back end shearing machine is heavy duty fabricated steel

construction. The frame is made out of thick steel plates, precisely machined to host 450mm P.C.D. helical pinion gear set. The extended input end of one of the pinion shafts is connected with Induction Motor by means of speed reducing pulleys. The output end of the pinion shafts hosts a pair of rotary blades as specified above. The rotary movement of the blades is responsible for the cutting action as these are interconnected to a pneumatically operated lever.

The whole shear assembly is fixed on a rigid steel fabricated frame with drilled holes to secure it to civil foundation by means of holding down bolts.

It is Used in pairs between Roughing and Intermediate Finishing Stands to crop front and back ends of TMT Bar.

Snap Shear    

• Pneumatic Snap Shears are used for cutting the  material while transfer or   miss roll
• in Intermediate Mill, complete with cylinders and solenoid valves.
• The welded steel frames of Snap hearensure durability and reliability.

Hot Saw (Pendulum Swinging Type & Horizontal Shift Type)

Hot Saws are used in Hot Rolling to cut desired length and as well as to trim front & Rear End. These Shears are capable of cutting section size ranging from 160 to 600mm ( Beam, Channel, Angle ) and as well as Square, Racks of 40 to 250mm. The Hot Saw presently is of two types Pendulum Swinging type and the other is of horizontal shift type.
 

Scrap / Plate Shearing Machine

DESCRIPTION –
Plate / Scrap Shearing Machines are installed in Mini – Re-Rolling Mills where

the Ship Scrap is sheared and used as a raw material of Rolling Mill.

It is generally installed in 6-9″ Mills.
